A friend told me he read online a story claiming Washington Square is the center of child pedophilia in this part of the world. What a crock. I won't name the news group with the story since I've not been able to find it myself, but I damned well promise you I'll take them on, little guy that I am, once I do find it. I and other Squaronians will admit to any number of sins. Sex with children isn't among them. The reporter who wrote the story clearly hasn't ever been to Washington Square. Men here are men of honor. Maybe a la Matt Dillon -- but men of honor nonetheless. This is a grave insult to me personally. I ask any of you who run across this bullshit story to write the editor in protest. And I've never asked you to do anything before, but now I'm really, really, really upset.
