This noted author explains Thai pillow talk terms.  Chris is the creator of Vinnie Calvino, the private eye hero of  six novels with a Bangkok, Phnom Phen, and Saigon settings. His famous "Land of Smiles" series should be required reading for all newly arrived males.  For an introduction to

Dean Barrett


This author of numerous novels and plays with Asian settings, including Memoirs of a Bangkok Warrior and Kingdom of Make Believe,  has now returned to Thailand and is currently working on a new book with a Bangkok and China setting. Dean has written of his early years in Bangkok during the Vietnam War when he was a Chinese linguist with the Army Security Agency.
