Bangkok AtoZ Quick Guide

The Sky Train makes moving along Sukhumvit very easy.  But for those who would like to get a more ground level view, this is the suggested route. The distance will be about 2.5 miles or 3.6KM.  You may not be able to complete the whole walk in one day or night, don’t fall down and do watch the traffic, but if you continue on this walk you will see most of what Sukhumvit has to offer.  Start at Buckskin Joe Village at the Phloenchit Station Exit.

Have a drink at Sexy Lady/Det 5.

When you leave the Village walk towards the right up Sukhumvit to Soi 4, turn right at Soi 4 and have a drink at Nan Plaza.

Exit the Plaza, and cross Sukhumvit to the odd number Soi side.  Walk to Soi 7 and have a drink at the German beer garden half way up the Soi.

Have a drink at Lucky Lukes the first open bar as you enter the Plaza, on the right.

After your dirnk return to Sukhumvit, take a left and continue up the street.  Next stop is Clinton Plaza/Thermae area.  Have a drink in Clinton Plaza or better yet Thermae if it is after 11pm.

Next stop is Darling Massage on the other side of  Sukhumvit. Use the cross over in front of the Delta Crand Hotel, cross the street and walk towards the Time Square Building to Soi 12, look for the Darling sign which is clearly visible from the Sukhumvit.

The Coffee shop inside Darling is a great place to have a beer and watch the acitivities.

After Darling recross the street to the odd number Soi side and continue walking up Sukhumvit.  Cross Asok, the first major street, and walk to your left, Soi Cowboy is about 100 yards up Asok. Have a beer at Long Gun. On the right about 100 feet into the Soi.

Walk through Soi Cowboy, away from Asok, the first street is Soi 23.  Turn right and return to Sukhumvit.  Take a left on Sukhumvit and walk about 250 meters to Soi 29 which is opposite Soi 22. Cross the street to Soi 22 and walk up the Soi. About 100 meters into the Soi you will See Dennys Corner, opposite Regency Park Hotel. Stop in and have a beer with Khun Daeng.  Dennys Corner is the back gate to Washington Square. Walk into the square past Bourbon Street, which is an excellent place to eat if you hungry.  You will see the Garden Spa and all the bars lining the street when you turn left, such as Texxan Lone Star, Wild Country, and Silver Dollar.  All are great places to  drink.

Wild Country.

Texxan Lone Staar

Silver Dollar

One more stop on our tour.  Soi 33 is across Sukhumvit from the front entrance to the Square.  Exit at Mambo and cross the street.  You can walk up to the Sky Train station and use it to cross or risk your life crossing Sukhumvit without the walk over.  Look for Soi 33.  Have a beer at Monet, which is about 100 meters up the street on your right.

This concludes our Walking Tour of Sukhumvit, of course you can always turn around and walk back to Buckskin Joe.
